Albert's Schloss - Manchester's Gem
Without a doubt Manchester is home to the most wonderful collection of restaurants I have ever come across. What sets the establishments in this city apart is simple - Effort. Carefully curated menus and house made beverage lists are coupled with astonishingly attractive interior decor creating extremely desirable results.
At the very top of my list of "Must Dine In" restaurants is Albert's Schloss, and after walking past its stunning floral entrance countless times in the past I've finally indulged. Guys, this place made all of my restaurant dreams come true!
Right? This picture is unfiltered, the interior is really just that warm and glowy! Beautiful wooden floors, ceilings and plants help keep the large space feeling comfortable while exposed bulbs and large stained glass windows (which you can't see thanks to my amateur photography skills) light up every nook.
Pretty pink flowers dressed each table, while an intricate (and extensive) drink menu welcomed us.
How amazing is this island w/fireplace, I mean common!! The theme of Albert's Schloss is a German inspired bohemian palace, which is unique in itself.
Latte's and cappuccinos were mandatory in keeping two tired flight attendants awake for the dining experience after our 7 hour red eye. These certainly didn't disappoint.
The restaurants theme is very much alive in the food offerings, I enjoyed a paprikash chicken kebab adorned with yoghurt aioli, pomegranate and mint on a rose harissa flatbread while my partner in crime had the perfectly prepared chicken schnitzel with lemon, parmesan mayo and salsa verde. I'd say if you are ever in the Manchester area it would be a crime not to dine at Albert's Schloss!
